It’s Not About The Numbers - ATAMATAM

“There is an interest in that which is hidden… (which) can take the form of a quite intense feeling, a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present.”
― René Magritte

What do you see?

How do you see?

What is being watched?

What reality are we in?

Can you feel me? I am hugging you.

Part live performance, part video installation, ATAMATAM is an ongoing exploration of space, body, intimacy and gaze. First conceived during Circuit Breaker 2020, dance artist Syimah Sabtu and technical designer Merissa Tang harnesses the power of movement and technology, to investigate the ways digital media has shaped how we experience the physical world.
