While drama lessons took a while to gain traction, Goh Lay Kuan’s ballet classes at the newly opened Practice took off almost immediately. In fact, it was the dance classes that financially supported Practice’s other ventures, including the theatre wing. Over the years, Goh developed her own dance education curriculum based on the understanding that every dancer’s body was different and that training had to respond to each student’s unique needs.
While dance classes are a thing of Practice’s past, Goh’s teachings live on in the bodies of her former students, many who continue to teach, dance and choreograph today. Enjoy a rare gathering of Goh and some of these “Practice Ballerinas” as they share fond memories from the dance floor.

Originally written as a play, and later adapted into an award-winning musical, the story of Lao Jiu has entertained Singaporean audiences for decades. Join the cast, crew and creatives from four different editions of Lao Jiu as they reunite for an epic online hangout.
