The Little Windmills take the Stage! 2020
“Go, go, go, go, go, hand in mine, friend come let’s go. Go, go, go, go, go, on an adventure, here we go!” The anticipated moment has arrived. The children enter the stage with a great desire to perform their items for their audience. Some of them confident, some of them shy, together they perform uninhibitedly while their parents celebrate their year of growth and learning downstage.
The Little Windmills take the Stage! is an annual presentation of students from The Theatre Practice Education Project’s Children Course. After a year of learning, each class takes their significant moment on stage to showcase their fruits of learning on this special day to their loved ones in a 10-minute presentation.
We value the growth of the children over their amazing performances on stage. Let us hold an open heart and witness the friendship they have built up, the self-confidence they have cultivated, and their growth. Let this stage bring you more laughter and warmth.

This year, most of us were forced to embark on a new journey into the unknown. Fittingly, this year’s The Little Windmills Take the Stage! theme is “There. Here. Where?”.
As we look towards the future, we are more conscious than ever, that we cannot take things for granted. The world we live in today has changed. Yet while change can be scary, exploring the unknown can lead to unexpected discoveries and endless possibilities!
Creativity flourishes best when we are challenged to leave our comfort zone, and this year’s showcase is especially meaningful because of the journey we made to get here. The online classes were an important source of comfort and community while we were all isolated during Circuit Breaker. Returning to the classroom, “limitations” like social distancing and presenting a show on a digital platform became the stimulus to create something entirely new.
And now, you’re part of this experiment too! This year, families have the unique opportunity to watch The Little Windmills Take The Stage! together with their little performers. Enjoy this bonding time and as a “bonus feature”, find out more about their creative process by having them give a behind-the-scenes commentary.
Meanwhile, we hope to see you in “3D” very soon. Keep safe!
